MKEfoodies Annual Picnic - August 18th!

Join us for a delightfully old fashioned picnic at the Estabrook Park Biergarten.

Sunday, August 18, 2013 



1:00 PM to 4:00 PM 
$10 covers plates, napkins, etc. with the remainder going to charity (see below).
This family friendly destination features convenient free parking, a playground for the kids, shaded picnic area, and a scenic view of the Estabrook park falls.

Specials and activities include:

  • FREE SA Braai boerewors sausage samples from Matthew & Wendy Devan
  • FREE Sprecher Brat samples from Clay at Neukirchen Sausage
  • FREE Jamaican jerk chicken wings from Yollande Deacon of AfroFusion Cuisine
  • FREE Smoked corn on the cob provided by Lo & Peef of Burp!
  • FREE Samples of wood-fired oven pizza, thanks to Chef Aaron Patin
  • $6 half-liters and $11 liters of beer, along with wine for purchase will be available*
  • The chance to win fun prizes!

*Protein, buns, and condiments will be provided.  Please sign up to bring an appetizer, snack, side dish, or dessert to pass when you register.

FYI -- if the day is rainy or the weather is inclement, we may see fit to cancel. Watch FACEBOOK for updates on the day of the event!
Picnic tables will be available. Feel free to bring yard games (Bocci ball, cornhole, ladder ball, etc.) and lawn chairs or blankets, if desired. You may also bring pint glasses, Bier steins, or wine glasses with you to avoid the glassware deposit (see above).
Funds raised from the picnic will go to support Groundwork Milwaukee whose mission
 is to bring about the sustained regeneration, improvement and management of the physical environment by developing community-based partnerships that empower people, businesses and organizations to promote environmental, economic and social well-being..
