Aud-Mar Fall Festival

Spend a day on the lake in beautiful Muskego while enjoying the newly rennovated grounds of the classic Aud-Mar Supper Club property. [Read more about the Aud-Mar]

Enjoy live music, food by Bass Bay Brewhouse and a tap tent sponsored by Steven's Point Brewing Company! There will be a pie eating contest, Bloody Marys and more. Kids will enjoy the bounce house, face painting, an pumpkin decorating.

You'll also get a sneak peek of what the Bass Bay Brewhouse restaurant (coming in 2015) will look like once it is finished!

Empty Bowls

Fight hunger by eating soup!
Empty Bowls guests will have the opportunity to choose from thousands of ceramic bowls handcrafted and donated by local artists, teachers and students. Bowls, which are sold for $20 ($10 for children's bowls) will be filled with soups prepared by local chefs are served with bread and other refreshments.

The organization will build on last year's event where nearly 2,000 people were served and $40,475 raised in support of local food programs. This year, empty bowls hopes to raise $45,000 in just three hours to benefit five local nonprofits, including the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Central City Churches, Milwaukee Christian Center, Friedens Community Ministries and the Fondy Food Center.

Mysteries of Vanilla
Professor Ken Cameron, vanilla orchid specialist from UW-Madison, will offer up the history and science behind the vanilla flavor we all know and love, while Chef Patrice Caillot of the French Pastry School in Chicago will demonstrate the use of vanilla in pastry and baking. Kyle Cherek will moderate.

Apple Sauced!
Join us for our annual harvest event. It's sweet, spirited and oh-so-much fun!

We'll have fall themed food & drink samples from vendors including 5 Lilies, Afro-Fusion Cuisine, Amilinda, Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro, Honeypie Cafe, Island Orchard Cider, Juniper 61, Larry's Market, Purple Door Ice Cream, Sassy Cow Creamery and MORE!

Meanwhile, our gracious hosts at Great Lakes Distillery will be providing libations at a cash bar in the tasting room. And the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association will whip us into a frenzy with a live auction of food items donated by our local partners.

As an added bonus, this year Dy Godsey, the Edible Milwaukee Mixology columnist, will be mistress of ceremonies at an apple-cocktail throwdown. The Great Sconnie Sip-Off is a competition with a twist: all ingredients must come from the state of Wisconsin or be made by bartenders themselves. Cocktails will be evaluated on their presentation, aroma, taste, balance and originality by a panel of local judges, then sampled by attendees for the People’s Choice awards (tickets for People's Choice are $10 each and can be purchased at the event).

Sitka Salmon Class
Sitka Salmon Shares is a fishermen-owned company in Sitka, Alaska that helps its independent small-scale fishermen sell their product to consumers in Midwest. Sitka Salmon Shares runs a Community Supported Fishery, much like a CSA, but for fish! They also provide fish to food co-ops, health food stores and restaurants throughout the Midwest.

Join Sitka fisherman, Marsh Steele, as he shares the Sitka Salmon Shares story as well as shows you how to break down a whole king salmon. Then, Chef Dave Swanson will demonstrate how to prepare some delicious seafood dishes!  Class includes a 30 minute reception beginning at 6 pm in the culinary school featuring a complimentary cocktail and Braise Bite.

Kohler Food & Wine Experience
Join the Village of Kohler for a weekend of exciting wine seminars, educational demonstrations and delicious tastings. The event includes nationally-renowned chefs, regional restaurateurs, entertaining seminars from award-winning local and international chefs, and opportunities to mingle with the top wine and culinary experts from across the nation. 

Some events are ticketed, but many events are complimentary including food and wine samplings, book signings, trunk shows and more.
